A free service for a practicing artist. Deptford X Fringe 2017.
Are you stuck in a rut? Feeling uninspired? Come to a creative cul-de-sac? Want to experiment and find new ways of working?
Problem solver is an opportunity to workshop new ideas/artworks in a large space in Deptford over the course of an afternoon.
With the support of Artist educator Jack Brown, 30 primary school pupils will help you try new stuff, brainstorm ideas, experiment, play and open up new possibilities in your work. It’s a chance to take a fresh look at your practice and kickstart something new.
A great opportunity to work with the local community to build your practice, you will work collaboratively with Jack to plan the workshop. Jack will also arrange and lead the workshop, leaving you to focus on gaining new in-site into your work whilst working with 30 brilliant brains!
Any medium/method welcome; painters, sculptures, performance, video, dance, street art, mixed media, installation, etc.
The workshop will take place during Deptford X at the end of September 2017 (date TBC).
A materials budget will be provided. Artists Fee is A.C.E. funding dependent.
